Privacy policy

WorkFree is built to be useful without harvesting your data. The calculators run entirely in your browser and store nothing. This policy explains the limited data that third-party services such as analytics and advertising do collect, and the choices you have.
The short version
We do not ask you to create an account, and the numbers you type into any calculator are never sent to us or stored anywhere. We do use Google Analytics to understand traffic, Google AdSense to show ads, and Mailchimp to run our contact form. Those services set cookies and process some data, as described below.
Information you enter into calculators
Nothing you type into a calculator is transmitted, saved, or shared. All calculations happen locally in your browser, and any PDF you download is generated on your own device. Closing or refreshing the page clears the inputs.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see aggregate, anonymised information such as which pages are popular and what devices visitors use. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process data such as a truncated IP address and general usage events. Learn more in Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out site-wide with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
WorkFree displays ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to WorkFree and other sites on the internet.

The contact form (Mailchimp)
Our contact page uses a form hosted by Mailchimp. If you send a message, the details you provide, such as your email address, subject, and message, are processed by Mailchimp so we can read and reply, and, if you tick the box, to send you occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. See Mailchimp's (Intuit) privacy statement for how they handle data.
Cookies
WorkFree itself does not set tracking cookies. The cookies on the site come from the third-party services above (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and the Mailchimp form). You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our cookie policy lists the categories in more detail.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe and the UK) or the CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of personalised advertising. Because we do not hold accounts or store calculator data, most requests relate to the third-party services above; we are happy to help you direct a request and to action anything we control. Children
WorkFree is intended for adults making employment and financial decisions. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
