Editorial policy

WorkFree exists to help people make a high-stakes money decision with honest information. That only works if the content is accurate, independent, and kept current. Here is how we try to earn that trust.

Who writes and reviews

Content is written and reviewed by a named editor, founder Shahzad Arsi, not generated and published unread. Every guide carries a visible byline and a last-updated date so you know who stands behind it and when it was last checked.

How we write

  • Plain English over jargon. If a term needs explaining, we explain it.
  • Specific over generic. Real trade-offs, real numbers, and the cases where the honest answer is "not yet" or "it depends, and here is on what."
  • Country-aware. Where rules differ across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Ireland, we say so rather than assuming one default.
  • Transparent tools. Every calculator publishes its formula and assumptions on the methodology page.

Accuracy and sources

We aim to reflect current, mainstream understanding of how job exits work financially and practically. Where a rule is set by law or varies by jurisdiction, we describe it in general terms and tell you to verify the specifics for your situation, because contracts and regulations change and override defaults. We do not present estimates as guarantees.

Independence

Our guidance is not for sale. Where a page carries advertising or, in future, an affiliate link, it is disclosed on our advertising disclosure page, and it never changes what we recommend. We will not tell you to quit, or not to quit, to suit an advertiser.

Updates and corrections

Guides are revised as costs, rules, and best practice move, and the last-updated date reflects the most recent review. If you find an error, a broken formula, or an outdated rule, please report it through the contact page with the page name. We correct confirmed errors promptly and, for anything material, note that the page was updated.

What we do not do

WorkFree is educational, not a licensed financial, legal, or tax adviser. We do not give personal advice, we do not see your full circumstances, and our tools produce estimates from the figures you enter. For decisions with real money or legal weight, confirm anything that matters with a qualified professional. See our disclaimer for the full statement.
